You are able to tow a boat or jet ski as long as it’s 2000 lbs or less. We provide tow bars for you to attach to the back of your houseboat at no cost (unless they’re damaged).
If your boat is over 2000 lbs, you can still bring it! HOWEVER, someone will need to drive it separately when you are driving the houseboat, as the houseboat cannot handle pulling a heavier load.
Yes, we recommend to.
The refrigerators onboard the houseboats do not run as cold as your home refrigerator. When temperatures reach 90° or higher, we recommend using ice chests for products that are perishable, such as meat and dairy products. We suggest you use the refrigerator for other food products like fruit and vegetables.
Coolers are also nice to have for beverages to bring on the front, back, or top decks, and the beach. This saves room in your fridge, eliminates the number of times fridge doors are open, and helps with easy access to food and beverages during the day!

There are a few options for customers with CPAP machines, but please consult with your doctor. Bring a deep cycle 12-volt battery and an appropriate size 110 volt inverter, or plug the boat into dockside shore power. You may also be able to get an additional battery pack from your doctor, or your machine may already have one. The generator cannot run at night while all people are sleeping due to the danger of carbon monoxide poisoning, meaning your CPAP will not work if plugged into the wall.
If a battery-operated CPAP is not possible for you, plan to spend nights at a marina instead of on a beach. Just ensure that the marinas you plan to stay at provide overnight shore power, and your CPAP should run like normal.
In most cases, a WI or MN fishing license is sufficient. If you are on a week-long vacation and travel down to the IA boarder, a WI or IA license is sufficient.

We do not limit the distance you can travel. Most people travel 40-50 miles on a 3- or 4-day vacation. However, what limits your distance is the amount of time you have the boat. If you’re wanting to go further North or South, consider doing a 7-day vacation to avoid hours of driving each day.
The boat does need to be returned to the Fun ‘N the Sun marina on your final day.

Many people enjoy kayaking and paddleboarding in the backwaters. You are able to place the kayak on the back or top deck.
Yes, the boat is picked up and returned to the home port of Fun N The Sun Houseboats in Alma, WI.
